Exhibition Information

			The moment when the jazz vocalist or musician is shaking in tension and concentrating before taking the first note, and the moment when the artist pushes him/herself, holding back the tremor to make a difference. The moment the first note rings, the moment when something that has never existed before is born, the moment when we push ourselves to perfection, we are shaking, ‘barrr… parrr…’.

"barrr parrr" is an exhibition about all of our first contacts and the brave leaping. The pronounced sound of this title and the expression itself are about the moment when we take open our lips to spit out the first word, when we breathe the first breath into the instrument, when we press the first note, when we lift the brush for the first time, and when we tremble in the first precarious step to start. It intends to intensively express the excitement, tension, boldness, and braveness of jazz through shallow mimetic words such as ‘barrr’ and ‘parrr’, visually showing the practices for new attempts shared between jazz and art.
