			GS Caltex's Yeulmaru newly opened "Jangdo, Island of Art" in May last year. For about eight months, 200,000 tourists from all over the country visited Jangdo and shared their feelings with various programs that took place in it. Under the "The contemplation of an art island", operating in full-scale this year, we will keep this mood this year.

The first exhibition of this year consists of works by Lee Bae-Kyung, who has been working on the subject of time, space and body, and is trying to find the interface between these three elements. These three elements of the writer's constant interest may be fundamental and conceptual problems, but they are also the most daily and natural sensory reality for us. In this exhibition, the author presents the waves by creating an extended virtual space based on reality or a virtual space overlaid with reality. By simplifying the flexible and diverse movements of the sea using a hexahedron and presenting unfamiliar forms that are different from the real sea, visitors can free up their contemplation.

Art has been breaking up ideological thought, and this nature of art is considered a force to solve social contradictions. Criticizing ideological things and suggesting new perspectives are the main purpose and expression of art. In this exhibition, features could be slightly profound, but the images with limitless changes and creation the artist made will come naturally and comfortably to the audience. It will expand and deepen our contemplation and our senses.

Jangdo, the island of art is an place made by citizens and artists together. Through the programs presented by artists, people will feel hope, happiness and healing, and it is the island that makes a virtuous circle as the artist expresses the emotions that visitors feel as a creative piece.
