  • 			* Planning Intention
    Recently, it has become difficult to secure diversity of contents due to the exhibition bias centered on interactive, media art or photo zones. From Monet to Cezanne: The Impressionists of the Jerusalem Museum of Israel and the Post-Impressionists masterpiece is the most popular impressionist exhibition of Koreans designed to expand the enjoyment of exhibitions and cultural arts, presenting 106 impressive paintings selected from the Jerusalem Israel Museum collection. 이Straining Pond, 1907, best known as the best work by Impressionist founder Claude Monet, will be unveiled in the exhibition, giving busy modern people a chance to feel happy through works such as a rest of their lives.

    * Purpose of exhibition
    From Monet to Cezanne: The Impressionists of the Museum of Jerusalem and the Post-Impressionists Masterpieces is a 19th-century impressionist exhibition held by the Museum of Israel in Jerusalem, the world’s largest museum, not a collection of European art museums that have been found in Korea. It will be an exhibition of impressionist works, a branch of the art movement centered around France in the late 19th century, and how writers influenced modern art through their collections that looked from a different perspective than Europeans.

    * Exhibition details
    A variety of artists, led by Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir and Alfred Sisley, first presented their work in Paris in 1874. Shocked by the rough, unfinished painting that appeared on canvas, one critic criticized, "This is simple impressionism." The words used for ridicule were later adopted by artists, and their movements ultimately became one of the best known, which is the most beloved in art history.
    Impressionist painters generally respond to the traditional values and styles of the Academy for choosing historical or religious themes and creating a smooth, technically flawless picture. They tried to capture the moment in nature, and draw it without prior investigation. Intensive study of color and light was undertaken to observe that the color of the target is changed by the brightness of the visible light as well as by the color and reflection of the surrounding object. The various brush strokes of Impressionists appear to combine vivid colors into recognizable objects with as few combinations as possible. The movement and reflections of light above water are key elements of impressionist painters. A series of tasks focusing on the same topic convey a sense of reality by factors such as time, season and weather. In response to the rapid changes in industrialization and urbanization in France in the late 19th century, artists described rural landscapes, indoor interiors and modern life. Impressionist's choice of colors, brushwork, composition and subject matter changed art theory and customs and opened the way for a century of painting revolution.
    The exhibition looks at the themes compared to Japanese prints that inspired artists of this era, from the start of the Barbie sect to the growth of the post-Impressionists, with the reflection of light, landscapes, cities, stills and figures (a total of 106 such as 66 oil paintings and 40 prints). Monet’s previous works, "Straining Pond, 1907," will be unveiled for the first time in Korea, encompassing representative works of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism from Degas, Monet and Renoir to Paul Cezanne.
    Impressionists' fascination with the various images of light emitting can be seen in the vast impressionist watercolor paintings of the fields, sky, or sea, and continue to inspire artists to date.

    - The principal author of the exhibition.
    From Degas, Monet and Renoir to Paul Cezanne, it presents representative works of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism.
    Claude Monet is a French impressionist painter and one of the founders of the impressionist style, and in his work, "Imagination," the term ‘imagination’ was coined. He stuck to the impressionist principle of ‘light is color’ until the end and explored how the same thing changes with light through a series of works. The second-year series of "Su-ryeong" is regarded as a great masterpiece that has shown an cosmological view of nature. The exhibition will feature "Suryeons," known as the best work by Impressionist founder Claude Monet.

    Paul Gauguin is a late French impressionist painter whose symbolism, inner nature and nonnaturalist tendencies played a fundamental role in the emergence of 20th century paintings. He was a writer who had a profound influence on contemporary art in the 20th century with Vincent van Gogh and Paul Cezanne, who led totalitarianism with experiments of intense colors, and his works later influenced countless artists.

    Auguste Renoir is a French artist and a member of the Impressionist group who has developed a brilliant color expression. For a while, as one of the Impressionists, he developed a more dazzling color expression, and painted classical works that focused deep on screen composition by clearly drawing lines and flows in a plain shade after his trip to Italy. Afterwards, he broke away from the impressionists and restored his own rich color expression to establish mature works by contrasting the original colors.

    Finally, Paul Cezanne was a French artist who was influenced by Impressionism and Flemish art. Paul Cezanne, who is called the father of modern painting in the 20th century, is a representative writer of post-impressionism along with Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin. Cezanne presented the roots of modern aesthetics to express three-dimensional and objective truths of objects, and was the author who set the stage for a new experiment for many young writers after Impressionism.
