Exhibition Information

			SLITSCOPE's Solo Exhibition  <Appearition> is an artificial intelligence-based media art exhibition that seeks to propose a future vision of reconciliation based on artificial intelligence and choreography.

In (dis)Application>, (dis)Application어로 is a combination of appear and apposition and is used in a two-sided and overlapping sense to view artificial intelligence as a welcome target or vice versa from the actual and hypothetical meaningless boundaries. Slitskoff is a group of artists joined by Kim Je-min and Kim Geun-hyung, who discuss virtual, real and post-human relationships as the motif of disbandment and convergence, citing artificial intelligence and human relations.

We've created artificial intelligence that creates dance, choreography. This artificial intelligence has no knowledge, no emotion or will to what dance principles or movements symbolize. They just kept watching the sequence of movements and learning to create a similar. In front of a fictional artist who presents meaningless phenomena, the work asks whether the audience will be able to discover the soul of artificial intelligence on the most acute dichotomous boundary between art and human beings.

Explanation of art

Deep Learning is an artificial intelligence that is not about teaching principles, but about learning through a process of showing results and modifying them to produce those results. That's how we created artificial intelligence, which creates dance, to be precise, choreography. The artificial intelligence has no knowledge, emotion or will to what the principle or movement of dance symbolizes. They just kept watching and learning to create a similar sequence of movements.

Dance is the most primitive form of expression than any other art. We present only expressions, meaninglessly phenomena, without meaning, without trying to express them using the most advanced and most extreme methods. Given the outcome of the audience’s own facade, the work asks whether they will be able to find the soul of artificial intelligence on the most acute dichotomous boundary between art and humans. Standing in front of you is a spirit without rust, or steel without spirit.


Tableau Vivant

With this question, "Can a picture be a theater?" it launched the Tablo smear campaign in 2015. The frame of the picture and the theater’s proscenium coexist with the medium and theater nature of reproduction and reproduction, and there is a perceptible object in the empty space where time exists (no time exists). The series will be based on Cosmos.

The fine vibration of a point is connected to another point to form a line, and the vibration of that line affects the other line, repeating irregular movement, rotation and speed. The movements of dots and lines gradually converge regularly and resemble human form and dance.

It is an intangible hypothesis of dance choreographed by artificial intelligence. Dancing was an offering that mediated heaven and earth and an entertainment that everyone could enjoy. Artificial intelligence breaks down the boundary between offers and entertainment and repeats empty gestures as a transcendent act in which the boundary becomes an area.
