Exhibition Information
The first exhibition of the new year in 2020 is the seventh exhibition of "The blooming port of Busan" a Busan modern art that has been introduced as a series for more than 10 years. I want to revisit the traces of art left behind by modern artists who lived in love with the beautiful port city of Busan. In this exhibition, we have prepared about 40 works by first and second-generation Busan Artists who participated in the Busan Modern Art Age. These are works that bear traces of half a century of time from the 1950s to 1998. Seo Seong-chan’s "Peony" (1957), Jeon Hyuk-rim’s "Busan Port" (1950s), Lim Ho’s 'Dalumsan Mountain' (1960s), Kim Yun-min’s "Namhae Scenery" (1972), Kim Won-kap’s "Gupo Scenery" (1978), and Song Hye-soo’s "Cow" (1997) from Wooshin" (1997). Please take a look at the scattered history of Busan contemporary art in one place and understand it even if there are some lingering and lacking aspects. I sincerely ask you to see and participate in many of the young art scholars as well as Busan citizens and art lovers.
