The connection between Kim Jong-eun and Psy

			Having experienced misunderstanding due to linguistic and cultural differences during their lives in other countries, acquaintances who did not know much about Korea became interested in vague imagination about the other world coming from cultural, language and distance differences. When I heard about the discovery of an alien in the U.S. in the evening news I also watched as a child, I remember thinking it would be completely different outside of my home, with the possibility that it was true. My work begins with a new story through various media of the present time. The information that comes into contact sometimes seems to be a big departure from the world in which you live. Distinguishing the ‘truth’ among the vast and varied sources of information requires a modern person to have an eye for it. I am working with interest in this phenomenon. The way I work is, I write a new story and merge it with information that has been passed on through the mass media to create conceptual information for those who make it a visual and auditory element. The people in the video use a different language to emphasize that they live in a different space and culture from the viewer, and the subtitles overlaid with what they say in their voice, and the edited video accordingly, guide the audience into the story I created. This fabricated information further confuses the audience with the form of trusted media such as news or documentaries, and with evidence other than video (painting, installation or other video material).

The exhibition consists of seven rooms in total. Below are some of them.

<Unknown Portrait>
Famous paintings taken by the Nazis are found in piles underground by a man who used to work with the Nazis. Among them, an unknown portrait of a beautiful woman is found. A documentary about this was produced.

<Sea der>
Doing a similar form, but they have horns and seal creature's body was found in Japanese coastal waters. Two different claims are made in the media: an animal that was extinct hundreds of years ago and a mutation caused by surrounding pollutants. Then a similar type of fossil is discovered and the other side presents animals that have mutated into similar forms as evidence.

Singer Psy will display three videos and one painting of news and Internet media about North Korea's influence in the world's famous termination. The above painting was made in North Korea and brought to Taiwan through a Chinese gallery and was auctioned off. It is a sophisticated painting with a famous Korean singer posing in a horse-riding pose wearing sunglasses that explains the grandeur and scenery as a whole. The work was hard to come by, adding that it was eventually sold for 140,000 dollars.

<NEILA>
It consists of a neon installation and three images. Naila is an emerging religion that serves aliens as gods. The process of establishing religion is reasonably compatible with the present situation. More than half of the world now believe in aliens than in God, as civilization progresses to fly and people increasingly praise the uncharted world.
