Gana Art is pleased to present Yoo Suntai's solo exhibition "Dreaming Objet," whose usage of everyday objects leads to the creation of an unique, surreal world. Yoo Suntai(b. 1957-) moved to Paris after graduating from Hongik University with a master's degree and earned a doctorate in sculpture and art from the National University of 8. He was absorbed in the study of Oriental painting while studying abroad, and he experimented with a distinctive way of painting by merging the East and the West through his unique sensibilities. Yoo Suntai's works feature meditative and surreal expressions based on his free imagination and sensibilities. By selecting common materials of daily life such as apples, books, watches, mirrors and frames and reconstructing them on canvas, he leads the viewers to a world of serene space and time that transcends reality. For the exhibition, Yoo Suntai displays paintings, objects, and sculptures that reflect his ego and view of life by exploiting a variety of objects. The exhibition will be an opportunity to experience the ideal world of Yoo Suntai through his various figurative languages.
