Exhibition Information
I have been interested in various fields ranging from historical event accidents to network and digital imaging technology development. In the process of reproducing digital images, we have focused on visualizing the weakness of modern society that exist behind society through the distortion and noise caused by physical and electronic errors. On the other hand, the two-sided image which seems to have been damaged, and on the other hand, seems to have added new aesthetic elements, was intended to reveal a sense of problem in the uniform perspective of regional problems of the times. The 'Low-cut' exhibition also linked the common weaknesses of high-resolution digital cameras , which are concentrated with the latest technologies, to cities that are increasingly dense due to redevelopment. High-resolution image sensors, made by aggregating large numbers of pixels in small sizes, cause image distortion and noise under certain conditions due to physical limitations. This distortion is revealed to the extreme in the process of filming high-rise buildings rather than low-rise buildings. Human have continued to develop cities in a way that increases density and this is how urban spaces are followed by various events that are being redeveloped. In a photo included in a newspaper article that reported various incidents during construction, the borrowed line was thrown onto the incomplete image by ink. Through this process, we wanted to re-expose the memories hidden behind the urban space that most people were not interested in. It also hoped that the white ink line would serve as a guideline to highlight or correct the current mess in the picture. [Source] bmwphotospce homepage
