Exhibition Information

			The exhibition project began with an interest in how SNS which served as a mechanism for daily communication among contemporary artists will change modern art. The emergence of artworks using SNS is a new phenomenon that has emerged since 2010, especially for artists who started their activities based on new spaces after the 2010s, SNS media is not only a central platform for expressing their identity of communicating the world of works but is also used as a major foundation for their work.

This exhibition brings together the works of next-generation and established artists who use SNS communication channels such as YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter as a methodology to provide a view of the changing times of contemporary art. Through this, it sheds light on the impact of SNS on contemporary art and maps the status of new art in the new media era, which allows two-way communication. In the exhibition, we wanted to reflect on our situation in which we live in an endless supply of social media by intentionally utilizing light attributes of SNS images or technical algorithms, works dealing with desires and ideologies inherent in SNS content, reflect on the virtual identity formed on SNS or intertwining various aspects of conversation, photography, installation, and video work that use SNS as a medium of communication beyond cultural and geographical differences.

It is hoped that the exhibition which began with a joint research by three planners of the alternative space generation and three art theory majors in their 20s and 30s who are closely related to the SNS environment will serve as an opportunity to communicate beyond the gap in generation culture through the common interest of SNS.
