Exhibition Information
Writer's note <Salt, Blood and Earth> is an exhibition that reconstructs works produced between 2015 and 2020. The title is also the title of a work presented at an exhibition. The author interpreted salt, blood and soil, which are elements of oral materials borrowed from the work, by giving them the symbolism of wealth(survival), sacrifice(vulnerability), and territorial(identity). It is further used as a major theme for each work in the exhibition hall. Looking into the great narrative of history, society, culture and geographical strata, and the micro narrative that is revealed in parallel and contrast, I would like to deal with to deal with the social environment given to us today and the spiritual heritage we inherited from a modern perspective. The writer has been working across various genres, including installation, performance, and video. Inspired by oral history, memory mythology, and popular liberal arts, we have explored the dangers and forces of occupying the body and spirit of Asian women, wandering and individuals in today's society.
