Exhibition Information
One day, a 'furly existence' disappeared. Then soon another appeared and filled his absence. The furry creature would often disappear, but the total population was always about the same. However, some questioned the case, saying it was a missing persons case. It's a detective. A detective who lurks as a novelist to solve a case, but, by the way, the writer of neighboring Room 3 is gone! What is the whole story of the incident? Jung Hae-na portrays the harsh reality in this exhibition in a dreamy way, comparing it to a story like『Yo Jae-jii』. The "The Vanished Animal with Long Hair and even a Longer Tongue" written in the exhibition name is a Russian proverb referring to women. However, the woman in the work has no tongue, mouth, or face. Those who can't speak simply fade away without a trace. We actually know the existence of such evaporation. Some of them have lost their place in society and psychology as well as forced and non-voluntary disappearances reported on the news, and some of their fellow "women" writers alone cannot see them anymore. The world is only relieved of its absence, whatever the way it is, when those who are not disciplined disappear. For the underprivileged, every moment is precarious as if it were about to disappear, and the impertinence of the world forced in silence is not easily revealed. But we are still here, so today we step towards the truth. Kim Sora (Senior Curator) [Source] OCI Museum homepage
