Exhibition Information

The exhibition "Sagaksagak- wing- Ddorr.." is a two-person exhibition consisting of the works of Eom Yujeong and Chu Mirim. The exhibition title is composed of Uiseong and Uiseong languages. This is an expression of two common working media dealing with paper as the main base. "Sagakgak" is the sound of picking and turning paper, and "wing" is set to the sound of thinking for the idea of work and "torrrr" to the sound of handling pens for the execution of work. It is a sound that symbolizes the preparation, conception, and execution of the writers' work processes, and it reveals the images reminiscent of the two artists' work styles.

Eom Yujeong deals with genres such as painting and drawing, creating a friendly, humorous, or sentimental screen based on various objects around her, including humans, plants, and landscapes. The simple and cool handwriting gave the viewer the charm of a unique painting. In other words, it is a familiar scene, but it is full of different expressions. It is also a simple image, but it gives a sense of Um Yoojung's unique handwriting that conveys rich emotions. The exhibition will feature drawings that have been continuously carried out as a series of 'human body studies'. Human figures are drawn with simple lines, but you can see the drawing works that reveal Um Yoojung's unique characteristics that allow her to read various emotions from the human figure she draws.

Choo Mirim has described the emotions and emotions she felt throughout the various neighborhoods she lived in as a way of combining geometric structures and organic lines. The artist, who has lived in an apartment, combines the neighborhood into a pixel-wise square. This can be seen as a combination of modules cited by computer graphics programs that have been familiar with design majors. In order to create a screen where various emotions and movements revealed by human life in a cold artificial city are combined, the artist's unique style showed the organic movements of pixels and lines through drawing, painting, and animation videos. This exhibition introduces the recently newly produced colored pencil drawing, as well as the landscape focused on pictorial elements with expanded scenery and color changes from existing images.
