Exhibition Information

			In 1977, Voyager 1 and 2 left Earth to explore extraterrestrial galaxies beyond the solar system. Sent about half a century ago, the spacecraft featured a 12-inch-diameter record album called Golden Record. The album contains 116 images describing selected music and humanity, including greetings in 55 languages. The record case is engraved with a diagram showing how to use the album, and a kind of score. 
 
Park Minha's "eek" is a project to fully review the project called Golden Records. Golden Records is a time capsule of the human world, using a method of reproduction and screening to reconstruct the entire planet into one. <eek> is an acoustic thought experiment initiated by this problem consciousness. Ryu Hangul and Park Min-ha set up problems in their own ways and released a piece of music by solving them. Now is the time for a way to loosen our closed circuit. 
 
To convey sound to other beings who do not have a human language is to endure errors and time differences. The impossible condition of a letter to a person who does not have a human language allows for a narrative of vibration. The audience for this sound is not only an extrasolar planet but also any vibrational object within the Earth. <eek> tries to transmit the sound to all objects, moving things.
