Exhibition Information
UAat Space will host Echae's individual "Shape of Blue" from December 9 to January 16, 2020. The exhibition, which was selected as a support program for young artists' exhibitions, will feature non-expression works (17), delicately expressed by meditation and repetition. Lee Chae's formative language, which was created through self-reflection, was developed not through his own experience but through communication with visitors. This exhibition is dynamic in space and movement, with sculptural elements in the work and various sized canvases, both large and small, arranged rhythmically, just as petals are curved. It is not a good idea for the artist to carefully push out the paint by arranging the canvas and moving his arms. It is similar to the images of ancestors who create a quiet and calm atmosphere and show dynamic eating habits, but they are wrapped up in a clean sheet of paper at once. Therefore, it contains the artist's wish that the artist's own work will capture the artist's own mind through a combination of sensibility and reason. The blue of winter in the exhibition hall may not be a symbol of the cold, but an expression of a relaxed mind waiting for a new spring. Introduction of Authors Lee Chae graduated from Gachon University with a degree in painting and a degree in aesthetics from Hongik University. And Lee Chae's work, which focuses on repetitive behavior, includes introspection and meditation. The works are being carried out through the performance process with harmony between reason and emotion, and expression of mind through blue, the keynote color.
