Exhibition Information
Since the outbreak of Corona 19, social distancing has become common to prevent the spread of infections, and the use of digital technology has come into our lives more quickly as the era of uncontact has come. Rapid digital transformation, such as teleworking, online classes, and cultural consumption through the use of media, is also the result of continued development of science and technology. This <Bless-U> is composed of works that are presented through the convergence of media technology and art through the development of digital technology and the dissemination and utilization of various devices throughout society and the economy. The theme of the exhibition is 'Bless-you.' It was borrowed from "God Bless You," which was handed over to a sneeze-seeker, a symptom of contagious diseases, at the time of the plague's epidemic in the past. Through art, it will comfort hard days with Corona 19, and present media art works with messages of hope and support to everyone in the new year 2021. Liu, who displays LED Cube and 12 sculptures, produces 12 different monsters in the Sanhaekyung and moves them to a virtual space set in Angyeon's "Dream Journey to the Peach Blossom Land." The video is interpreted as an opportunity for mutual harmony, not a contemporary science and technology civilization that disagrees with nature, from the agony of the Pandemic era on the way forward. Kim Young-kwang, who uses a beam projector, contains a message about the sadness lost by Corona19, and finding hope by adapting to new situations. Dalseong Park is confirmed to be relocated to a new place and shows that the memories it has have been observed and recorded through the author's camera over the past year. By wearing a mask that has become a necessity of daily life, the Byunkaka compares the present, which has become a barrier to communication, to collective aphasis. In particular, the mute screaming scene in the images in the monitor converts the explosion of emotion from auditory to visual images. Lee Han-na presents videos and photos taken in cities where she visited or lived in the past in a collage-type two-channel video work. Meeting through media outlets in a non-face-to-face society has become a must, not an option, and I would like to console the lethargy and regret I feel as free movement and travel are cut off through this work. Park Ji-hoon and Baek Soo-yeon will participate in the LED screen that does not turn off for 24 hours. Author Park Ji-hoon tells the story of the importance of daily life after the coronation through a video produced in 2D animation. Baek Su-yeon then shows her convergence and coexistence with nature and humans while taking her to primitive nature in her work.
