Exhibition Information

Lee Eunhee's individual exhibition, "Stance phrase, Swing phrase," tells the story of the technology that connects the human body and labor and the social structure surrounding it. In society, disability is understood as a lack of labor potential and at the same time a weakening of the horn ability. Therefore, rehabilitation technology not only restores physical function but also simultaneously serves to support the workforce of the disabled and enable economic activities. At this time, the science and technology that enables rehabilitation is quite optimistic, but the site where this technology is implemented and implemented is a variety of political complexes.

The title of the exhibition,"Stance phrase, Swing phrase,"symbolizes the role played by each leg in walking with a disability. The weight-bearing legs and the dependence of moving legs on each other for movement are like cooperation between a man who fixes defects and a man who refills other's faults through his labor, even though he is defective. In a relationship that relies on and depends on labor, we can ask whether defects must be supplemented. The exhibition will record the site of rehabilitation technology, identify complex and specific realities behind existing abstract and ambiguous images of disability and ask questions about its direction. - Cheon Mi Rim (Independent Curator)
