Exhibition Information
Participating artists met while studying MA Fine Art at the Amsterdam Sanberg Institute (2017–19), and now live in four countries. In a Pandemic situation, writers are tied to their homes, cities, and countries. This exhibition explores what artists can do together to exchange ideas, cultures and build friendships beyond sharing food, space, and surrounding scenery at a time when they cannot be together face-to-face. The exhibition includes sculptures, paintings, performances, and videos of them eating, traveling, and talking with their homes on Lewis Island while they were writing their rice paddies. The exhibition also announces the publication of the authors' new publication, What Thinks Thinks. Images collected by artists are resource-printed, designed by Alex Walker, and published by the Seoul Print Art Research Center. The book is a follow-up to <wha ties, ties>, a short essay, novel, and collection of poems by writers.
