What is your COVIDelight?

It's been almost a year since the Corona Pandemic era began. (syncopation) It has become a world where people are isolated by themselves over physical distance. In the age of prolonged pandemics, people are getting tired and depressed, and lethargic.
We propose 'COVIDelight'. COVIDelight is a combination of COVID-19, meaning Covid-19, and Delight, meaning joy, which refers to the small joy in an uneasy society.

Oriental art has forms of paintings that contain landscapes called landscape painting. The work does not only contain the natural scenery of mountains and water, but also the natural view of the time, the attitude toward nature, the times, and the appearance of life. The information contained in the painting also includes subjective evaluation of the artist. In the charm of arithmetic, which has a variety of meanings inside what appears to be the primary perspective, I would like to present modern arithmetic that depicts the times I live through the landscape.' came to my mind. Just as the landscape around it has changed from the past, I think the image of the painting, which is defined as "mountain hydration," can also be changed. The images of the past, which were commonly thought and schematized and depicted through ink, became modern landscapes of the 21st century and can be captured in canvas in colors and cotton. High-rise buildings built of artificial objects and natural objects, which are altar and decorated by human hands, make up modern arithmetic.

- Park Ji-young's Note -

I feel secure in the repetitive act of drawing. The more the pen touches the empty space, the more stable and free I feel. Unconsciously, the patterns and shapes that are drawn are focused on the act of painting, away from the conflicts that are experienced in the real world. Unconsciously, repeated acts, emotions, and drawn figures are added to build my own world.
(syncopation)
In adolescence, there was a problem with eye gold, so both eyes could not be used at the same time.
In general, each image of the two eyes is combined to see an image, which I used alternately without combining the two images. (...) At the moment of painting, this problem was a physical limitation and my limitation. However, my emotions changed as I drew an undefined 'my own' picture of black and white. Repeated acts of drawing my own drawings have become a way to heal anxiety. Physical limitations, which used to be a symbol of anxiety, became a symbol of stability through the act of working. Therefore, now I want to get out of fear and reveal my imperfect self through work.
