Exhibition Information

			The Daegu Culture and Arts Center organized the Artin Daegu Open League exhibition in order to return the unused exhibition space to a space for local artists in 2021 and actively support artists' hidden efforts and creative activities. The exhibition is designed to support artists who have not had a good opportunity to present their works while silently exploring the world of their works in the region, and to provide citizens with opportunities to appreciate various works. The exhibition consists of two parts. The selected artists are Cho Moo-Joon, Byun Bo-eun, Heo Ji-an, Bang Kyutae, Park Mi-sook, Lee Myung-Jae, Kochi (Kim Young-Chae, Choi Min-Kyung), Yu Myung-soo, Lee Bong-gi, and Tian.

○ Introduction of writers
<Part 1>
- Cho Moojoon: The late artist in 2018 did not learn painting, but he painted it in his spare time while taking care of his grandson. In the work drawn with colored pens on paper, plants such as flowers, trees, grass, and animals such as bees, butterflies, and rabbits unfold a pure joy and cheerful world. The artist left hundreds of paintings showing the original joy of painting and plans to introduce some of them in the exhibition.

- Byun Boeun: The author produces ceramic relief-type works inspired by the image of non-visible plant cells. The wall will be composed of images of forests and plants.

-Bang Gyu-tae: Focusing on the phenomenon related to memory, he/she is working on changing the subtle differences from the gap between "remembered me" and "remembered moment me" to colors and patterns. Canvas works that image memories and characters in the work will be presented in 3D programs.

- Heo Ji-an: The theme of "Light in the World" expresses the desire to express the ultimate light through color. It displays abstract works that are interested in the transcendent world of music and light and color.

- Park Mi-sook: Interested in surrealistic expression techniques and dreamy techniques, and shows the installation work that captures the stories of modern people's lives and times.

<Part 2>
- Lee Myung-Jae: Based on the paper-taped wooden floor of Hanok, it overlays images and shadows such as bellflower to express nostalgia for the hometown, time spent, and stories about people.

- Mook-chi (Kim Young-chae, Choi Min-kyung): A married couple writer, Mook-ji produces three-dimensional works with familiar materials around animation and life. In the exhibition, under the theme of "My Place to Rest," works that express human desires and pleasures projected on characters in the media will be harmonized in the living space.

- Famous singer: The artist, who has interacted with vivid nature in the principle of on-site resuscitation, has tried to breathe the vitality of the site and secure modernity beyond the idealistic landscape. The exhibition will feature more than 40 landscapes.

- Lee Bong-gi: The task of restoring the purity of painting and sculpture continues to find the essence of painting. A work of pure abstract expressionism family, interpreting the image of the space surrounding one's life as a pure fabrication.

- Tian: A work of digital media video work is produced on a background of an oil painting flat piece. Under the theme of "Once Brilliant," the exhibition will show people and society changing over time.
