Exhibition Information

			There is an artist who picked up a paintbrush even before she could walk. Aelita Andre had her first solo exhibition at the age of two, and sold out an entire show within seven days at a gallery in Chelsea, New York at the age of four, making the world bustle. Aelita is considered ‘The Next Picasso (by New York Times)’ by art critics and her painting sold for approximately 20,000 USD at the Hong Kong International Auction, setting a personal record for her oeuvre.

Even after becoming a world renown art prodigy, Aelita ceaselessly paints her worlds and continues to actively build her career. In 2019, she held a solo exhibition as the youngest artist in history at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. She also collaborated with Andy Warhol’s cousin, James Warhola, to complete a 10-meter-long public art piece in Chengdu, China.

In addition, she has visited more than eight countries to participate in Art Basel, non-profit fundraising exhibitions, and numerous media and TV programs to fulfill her busy schedule as a professional artist. She is currently passionate about global peace and climate change. 

In addition to the title of ‘prodigy’, Aelita recently found that she is part of the 4 percent of the world’s population that show a unique synthesis of the senses. Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which sensory functions (i.e., hearing, sight, touch, and taste) interact together, where two or more senses are perceived simultaneously. This phenomenon appears among musicians with extraordinary creativity (e.g., Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Billie Eilish) and greatly influences their creative process.

Her powerful sense of color, dynamic compositions, and excellent expression of emotions and abstract forms of sounds may have benefited from synesthesia. Aelita dives into a series of works by entering a personal dimension she calls “doors of the universe”. This way, Aelita is able to adventure into and express an infinite expansion of imagination while minimizing any external hindrances. A complete series depicts her journey as an explorer in that universe, allowing viewers to catch a glimpse of the environment behind the artist’s “doors”. 

She is currently homeschooling to foster an environment that maximizes her creativity and imagination. Perhaps she is practicing a genuine creative learning process that goes beyond the existing framework of “art education.”
