Exhibition Information

			The Gyeongju Cultural Heritage Institute (Director Lee Jong-hoon) of the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Gyeongju Campus Museum (Director Song Eun-seok) of Dongguk University will co-host the exhibition "Fire: One, Not Two" at the institute and museum (photo exhibition). The opening ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on May 27 in the front yard of Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus Museum.

  The Gyeongju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage has sought to shed light on the splendid Buddhist culture by excavating Silla temple sites in Gyeongju, including Hwangnyongsa Temple Site, Bunhwangsa Temple, Sacheonwangsa Temple Site, and Gameun Temple Site. The exhibition was designed to bring together artifacts excavated by the institute and once again convey the splendid Silla Buddhist culture to the people.

 This exhibition is a program that the Gyeongju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage has expanded its joint excavation of cultural relics with Dongguk University's Gyeongju Campus since last year. In order to improve the difficult reality of local universities, the Gyeongju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage is pushing for a "activation of education at local universities" project to support part of the curriculum in cultural assets such as archaeology and art history.
