Exhibition Information
The special exhibition "Spring Day, Buddha Natushida" will be held for 104 days from May 18 to August 29. The exhibition introduces Buddhist cultural assets such as Buddhist statues and Buddhist paintings that were kept in the storage room of the Busan Museum to commemorate Buddha's birthday. The statues on display this time were produced in the 16th and 18th centuries and were all designated as tangible cultural properties of Busan Metropolitan City. The Buddha statue is divided into the Buddha statue and the Bodhisattva according to the head decoration, necklace, and earring decoration, and among them, Amitabha Buddha is a Buddha that has illuminated the immortal nirvana and wisdom that drove out all kinds of anguish. Also, the Bodhisattva who embodies mercy among the Bodhisattva is Avalokitesvara. Also, Busan Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 190 'Awesome Bodhisattva and Mokjegam' will be introduced to Busan citizens for the first time. This relic is enshrined in a wooden Buddhist temple (a small house dedicated to the Buddha), and when you open the door of the Buddhist temple, you will see the settlement of Botarakgasan Mountain (a mountain inhabited by Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva). This exhibition will be a good opportunity to see the Buddhist statues and feuds of the Busan Museum, which have been difficult to see. (Source = Busan Museum)
