Exhibition Information
As human beings live on, they form a relationship with someone or something in any forms and they exchange influence with each other. Human beings as well as everything that exists in this world are connected to each other and cause effect. The harmony of various substances forms the universe and the establishment of complicatedly connected relationship creates the rule. The curiosity toward such harmony and interaction always stimulates me. This curiosity becomes the driving force for attempting on various materials. While numerous objects can be expressed by using one material such as tree, glass, crystal resin, metal, or marble, I combine, put together, and add those attractive materials together. Of course, this process isn’t easy at all. They sometimes don’t combine with each other due to different properties. Sometimes, my wrong decision of the moment ruins the materials I managed to gather. Even though I feel tired from not getting the desirable result after numerous trials and errors, the joy of combining different materials together and discovering the harmony beyond imagination compensates for the difficult times. With desire for new joy, I cut, grind, and polish materials at my studio until my shoulders feel stiff.
