Exhibition Information
This year's Young Artist Exhibition is the 24th artist contest program that has been held this year since 1998 by the Daegu Culture and Arts Center to help discover and support local new artists between the ages of 25 and 40 for local art development. The exhibition was designed to introduce the works of young artists who wanted to establish their own artistic world by just taking the path of full-fledged artists to citizens and to pave the way for their growth. The five young writers selected through the contest in January this year are Kim Dong-wook, Jung Jin-kyung, Jung Min-je, Kim Hyun-joon, and Kim Jae-wook. Writers reveal their colors, including stories about what they see and feel in their daily lives as a writer and ordinary human beings, questions and reflections about human's natural existence through works, and concerns about the use of the media and the social nature of the media. This exhibition will be an opportunity to get a glimpse of the concerns, passion, and infinite possibilities of local young artists.
